Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail

You may have heard this platitude before. It really resonates with me and is something I say to my team time and time again. To achieve your goals , whether they are to achieve a Maximum Residual Income, Financial Freedom, Fire Your Boss, etc…, you must have a plan to get there. Being plugged into a system or part of a group isn’t enough. Subscribing to ideals is not a lottery ticket. Achieving success and attaining your goals requires following a detailed plan with commitment and desire. These two components of executing your plan through to a desired outcome are crucial. You know what you want, now you must commit to the work that needs to be done to reach those goals. If you truly commit to the plan it is because you have a real desire to get to your destination.
How do you come up with this plan of action? This can be the part where most get stifled before they even begin their action. The best way that I have learned to come up with a plan is to look to someone who has succeeded in the same areas that I am looking to succeed. Find out what they did to attain their success. You do not have to re-create the wheel. Success leaves clues. You can create your own plan by following the map of those who have already paved the road.
Once you have a general plan in place. Prioritize your action. Go with the activities that are going to generate your results. If your plan is toward an income goal — Spend your time on M.M.A. – Money Making Activities. Do not get so caught up in planning that you never take action. The way to move to your goals is to execute your plan. This may seem like an obvious statement, but there are alot of people that spend so much time getting ready to get ready that they never get going.

What Sizzles vs. Delivering Real Value

Okay – hear me out. From here on let’s assume we are talking about legitimate online business opportunities (as opposed to outright scams, ponzi’s, pyramids, etc.). On one end you have ads with lots of hype and the advertiser may have no real intention of giving those that enroll the tools or support they need to reach the riches pictured on a landing page. They either do not know how or are not willing to be a good business coach and leader. On the other end you have someone looking for a get-rich plan, maybe a “passive” income and join the venture and once you’re in the riches will just flow. You are entitled to great rewards once you pay your enrollment fee, subscription, business kit purchase, etc. – Right? Then when riches do not roll in, you might as well scream SCAM!!
Let’s get real. First off, if you cannot contact the advertiser by phone or at least with some e-mail correspondence –ask yourself what kind of support will you ever receive and if you should be engaging in the opportunity? Secondly, do you want to do the work required to attain real wealth, or do you want the get rich quick entitlement scenario? What is your mindset? All success will take real effort. Do your due diligence. Does the opportunity and the advertiser/coach/sponsor intend to deliver real value? Are they honest and sincere (it will show in their actions)? Success stories are out there and they are very real. Those that are very successful in their online businesses are referred to as three percenter’s, due to the estimated ninety-seven percent failure rate of those who set out in an online opportunity. I am sure there are plenty of broken promises out there, but people basically fail in a legitimate opportunity because they quit. The three percent that achieve this success are not a product of luck or getting in early. They worked hard and smart, developed the skills needed in their art and most likely developed other successful people underneath them.
So before you set out for your first big venture online you must ask yourself the following questions: Are your intentions ethical, honest and earnest? Do you have the proper sponsor/leader to empower you to attain your goals? NOTE the word “empower” as opposed to “entitlement” mentioned earlier in this article. Once you reach a level a success are you willing to coach others to duplicate it?

Password Safety Tips

This was recently shared with me and thought it was a good idea to pass it along:
Passwords are the key method that most applications and websites verify that you are who you say you are. The trouble is: they are so valuable, bad guys love to steal them. Then they get to pretend they are you, and the next thing you know, they have emptied your bank accounts.
A recent survey showed that 73% of people use the same password across all their accounts (banking, work logins, Facebook/MySpace, etc.)
You’re now thinking: “Well, yeah, I use the same password because it is too hard to remember 10 different passwords.” I’ve got an alternative for you that will help decrease your risk but should still be manageable. Create yourself three passwords… one for your banking and financial sites, one for work, and a third for less important sites such as those coupon sites or news sites. That gets you down to only three different passwords to remember!
Any password based off of an actual word in the dictionary, like M0nd@y1, is actually very weak. Even altering the “o” to a zero or the “a” to @ and adding a number at the end doesn’t help much. Those sort of common substitutions are known by the bad guys and they can guess them pretty quickly.
Instead of a password think of a passphrase such as “my dog is red and purple”. You can use the first two characters of every word and get “mydoisreanpu”. How about we add some capitalization, a number or two, and a couple of special characters to get “*myDOisR3@nPU*” Now there’s a strong password that’s 14 characters long with special characters, capitals, and a number… all based off of a single short memorable phrase.
Do you see the patterns used to alter the pass phrase? If you pick a single pattern such as 1) first two characters of each word in the passphrase, 2) capitalize those two characters for every other word, 3)always lead and end with a *, and, finally, 4) replace “E” with a 3 and “A” with an @ you will be able to remember your password construct every time. Create your own pattern!
Finally, I have a few other points for you to remember about passwords and account security.
1. Never, ever, share your password with anyone.
2. Don’t let anyone use your identity! If they are logged on as you then as far as the system is concerned they ARE you.
3. Don’t write down your password! Also, don’t write down your passphrase or the pattern you use to construct your password from your passphrase.
4. Always lock your screen (in Windows just press the “Windows key” and “L”) or logoff when you are leaving your computer. Even if you are just headed to the bathroom for a minute.

necessary information and purchasing options on it for the products in question. In order for this business to be successful, it needs to be promoted effectively to potential customers via search engines, email or other sources. This is a very trendy type of business to have online. This is where you would purchase a website from an already established sector and then run the business on a web platform that is provided to you
by the established business. In order to promote such an online business, there are many different methods that you could use, such as promoting individual products or services to your online customers.
Internet Services
This is a business where specific services are provided to online customers at a reasonable price. Such businesses are often set up according to a person’s professional expertise and will provide
services to their customers in relation to this. The types of businesses that will come under this umbrella are online consultancies, computer software assistance, and hardware trouble shooting and even such things as how to start an online business.

How to Set Up a Business Plan for Your Online Business

By setting up a business plan, you are road mapping your way to success. It will help you to develop your business goals and strategies, as well as providing you with a better understanding of the
marketplace. It will also highlight any business strengths or weaknesses that you may have, as well as providing you with an opportunity to take a close look at your competitors. If you want, you
can also include financial projections, historical data and growth expectations into your business plan.
With any good business plan, it should show who the target audience is, and just how the product or service that is being provided will meet or exceed their needs and expectations. When organizing a business plan it is best if you break it down into sections such as:
1. Business summary – The product or service you want to provide.
2. Market analysis – Research on the product or service and how the competitors are doing.
3. Product positioning – How to make it more prominent compared to your competitors.
4. Market strategy – How are you actually going to market it?
5. Customer analysis – Look at what the customer wants or needs.
6. Financial analysis – What you need to invest in order to set up the business and to keep it going while it is just getting started.
7. Overall business goals – What you hope to achieve in, say, a year’s time. But what is more important is that once a business plan has been developed, it should not lay in the back of a drawer somewhere. It should be a working plan that you can refer to when you need to.
The best way to make a business plan is to keep it simple (one or two pages should be all you need). Certainly one of the best things you can do when starting an online business is to create a plan then stick with it.

For many people, they will start an online business based on knowledge and experience that they have already, while others may spot a gap in the market. But the most important thing that you can do is carry out research with companies and individuals that you do not know in order to get a more unbiased view.
Also, do as much reading and research on everything you can about particular areas of interest, as well as studying the pros and cons that this will have in relation to your overall goals. Plus, make
yourself familiar with your competitors, as this will boost your confidence and enthusiasm for setting up an online business.
Where to work from?
You do not need to work from home, but this is an option that many online business people prefer. But others prefer to have an office away from the home, as they find it difficult to focus, as well as feeling isolated.
How to market the business?
It is important, if you want your online business to thrive, to ensure that you establish a web presence. The best way of doing this is by Search Engine Optimization, Article Marketing, Video Marketing, direct mail, networking, display advertising etc. But what approach works best for you will depend on the product that you are selling. It is important that you check to see if there are any local laws or regulations in relation to setting up an online business from home. Also, you will need to get familiar with laws and regulations in regard to being self employed and how to best prepare for tax time.
Setting up the Office
More often than not, an online business will be conducted from the person’s home. So it is important that you set up a home office prior to starting up the business. You should arrange to have all the necessary equipment that you will need such as computer, internet connection, printer, fax machine (but not essential) are just a few things that you will need if you want to be successful with your online business.
